It's time for the spring newsletter!!
It's finally spring! Spring and early summer are my favourite seasons and I always look forward to them. There's a beauty in seeing the leaves on the trees, flowers blooming, and grass growing. The weather is comfortable enough for a t-shirt and I'm always finding myself outside touching grass and watching the clouds. Oh and I'm sneezing all the time AUGH!!!!!!!
Ah man... I love nature. One of these days I'd like to go around identifying the different plants that grow in my vicinity.
STORY/PROJECT NEWS!
Star Quest has finished chapter 2 in late December and has been on hiatus since! I didn't realize it then, but I had fallen into a bout of unmotivation/sadness that was brought on by the dayjob and just the lack of sunlight in general. Also I was feeling a bit of burnout since I'd been working on the chapter for a full year at that point!
I took a break and now I'm currently working on chapter 3 while posting species guides in the meantime on the site! I've finished the first half of my buffer and I need to start on the second half. After a break from the comic again, though! I had initally planned to launch chapter 3 this month, but it's looking more like May or even June. I may have to update one day a week instead of two to prevent running out of my buffer pages. Ah well, we'll see how it all goes!
Every now and then I've been poking at a couple stories that's not Star Quest, like Endaria and one I'm calling Wanderer. Both of them are nowhere near complete, honestly I'm just playing with them with no real plans to share them yet!
SITE NEWS!?
Hmmm not much has been happening on the site end of things! I DID manage to set up a mobile friendly version of the Cinnaverse site earlier this month, but other than that, just trying to stay on top of updating my gallery when I finish something!
ART RECAP!!
I've been doing a LOT of drawing but not a lot of finishing, haha! Here's a handful of stuff I've finished that are in the gallery along with some WIPs I wanna finish. Since I'm taking a break of SQ at the moment I'm kinda going full force into drawing.
LIFE THINGS!
Life's been...well, life! There's been ups and downs, exciting things, boring things, frustrating things. It is how it is!
Some really exciting stuff happened earlier this month though! A couple weeks ago I met up with Hika and we explored the SF Mini Art Mart during the SF Cherry Blossom Festival! I plan to write another blog post about this, but in short I had a lot of fun!!! :]
I've picked up this project of mine that was basically printing out ALL of my story scripts, prose, and worldbuilding notes from 2011 to the present. As of now I've filled like a 2 inch binder anD a 3 inch one and I've barely scratched the surface LOL. I wrote a blog post about it here and I plan to do an update when I finish it!
I've been here and there with video games these days. I picked up Grandia for a second after finishing Sea of Stars, but like every battle I get my ass kicked lmao so I think I need to grind for a bit. I'm LOVING the soundtrack and the voice actors for the game make me laugh, but there's a lot of charm to it. At the moment though I've picked up PMD: Sky so I'm playing through that!
